American Artist & Professor of Saxophone

Patrick Jones is actively involved with commissioning and premiering new works for saxophone.  He has presented a number of world premieres with orchestras and small ensembles as a soloist.
SaxOpen: 2015 World Saxophone Congress: Go For Two, composed by David Stock, and Pandora’s Box by Steve Simpson
International Saxophone Symposium in Washington, DC in 2013 of Dreams Lost: Suite for Saxophone and Piano by composer Lee Williams
Solo orchestral premieres with the Erie Philharmonic were given in 2010 of William Alexander’s Concerto for Flute and Saxophone and 2008 for Alexander’s Concerto for Saxophone
Commissioned and gave the world premiere of a piece by David Gompper (Universityof Iowa). During this performance, he was joined by Leslie Shank, the assistant  Concertmaster of the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra and Dr. Laura Loewen, Assistant Professor at the University of Manitoba
Premiered Borne by Constellations of Green Birds by David Heuser (Crane School of Music) at a North American Saxophone  Alliance Saxophone Conference in 2007
Involved in commissioning projects with Libby Larson and worked closely in collaboration with Faye-ellen Silverman
